Johari Window

posted:  13:02:07,  by:  morethanstone,  in categories:  Random Thoughts

The Johari Window was invented by Joseph Luft and Harrington Ingham in the 1950s as a model for mapping personality awareness. By describing yourself from a fixed list of adjectives, then asking your friends and colleagues to describe you from the same list, a grid of overlap and difference can be built up.

Cooool. I have used the Johari window before in teaching :) Good tool and great that there is a dynamic site to calculate percentages. I wrote an article with Dr. Denen using the Johari window as a window into the Emergent conversation a few months ago…you may find it interesting or useful:

I submitted a comment a couple of times and is not showing up. Please…I want to be in the “Arena” not the “Unknown!” :)

Virgil–For some reason your other comment needed to be “moderated” –don’t know why.

I’m going to read your article right now!
